Arity - Preview App
Preview - turning Arity's data platform into a hands-on sales experience
A B2B sales showcase app where prospects onboard, drive, and see their own real telematics data - replacing PDF decks with a live, personalized product story.
Zero to one · Telematics · Data UX
Built to replace PDF pitch decks with something prospects could onboard, drive, and see themselves and their own app in.
TL;DR
- Owned the Figma prototype end to end, all research prototypes, and legal documentation across 230+ screens in three days.
- Responded to usability findings (path into the experience, onboarding drop-off, silent trip failures) with a v2 home that lands people in any solution in one click and a two-channel settings awareness system.
- First production use of Figma Make on the team for rapid component iteration and stakeholder alignment alongside parallel sales-deck design work.
- 230+ Screens for legal review Documented in three days; single-round approval.
- 20 Research participants Two usability studies across home, solutions, and onboarding.
- 5x MAU growth Strongest lift tracked Jan-Mar 2026 after the v2 home shipped; measured in internal analytics, not visitor-facing counts.
Context
Preview is Arity’s prospect-facing app: onboard, drive, and see your own telematics surface real Drives, Driver Safety, crash scenarios, and Predictive Mobility demos - on iOS and Google Play.
What I owned
- Majority of iOS + Android UX across v2 after owning Android for v1.
- End-to-end Figma prototype for every research session and usability study.
- Parallel sales pitch and deck materials so GTM stayed aligned with product.
- Legal documentation for 230+ screens on a tight review window.
From research to product
Two formal studies (12 participants on home/solutions, eight on onboarding) plus stakeholder feedback loops. Findings pointed to uncertainty on arrival, dense copy, carousel disengagement, and users who needed clearer “where to start.”
The v2 response: a home that opens directly into each solution, carousels holding the long explanations (so they stop blocking the path to data), iterative tuning on onboarding after drop-off analysis, and flows that detect when device settings quietly block trip recording - with in-app and push channels to explain and fix.
Outcomes & craft
- Legal package completed in three days with a single review round.
- Five major iterations on the v2 home alone before the winning direction.
- Post-launch momentum: 5x MAU growth from January to March 2026.
